Chris Everidge became a Christian as a youth in South Georgia at the knees of his Grandmother, a wonderful praying woman. After an up and down young spiritual life, Chris joined Agape Christian Fellowship in February of 1995 when he was invited by his friend George Del Moral. That was the beginning of a fine education in God's Word and His amazing precepts. Chris' duties primarily surround theological training and Biblical education of youth from age eight to eighteen, focusing on the five "Solas" and Biblical principles of the Protestant reformation: Sola fide. Sola Gratia. Sola Scriptura. Sola Christos. Sola Deo Gloria, Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace and perseverance of the saints. Man is accountable for: Thoughts, attitudes, motives, words & deeds. Chris is married to the former Miss Christi Lynn Garrity of Denver, Colorado. They have six children: Alec, Christopher, Jonathan, Benjamin, Georgia & Thomas. Chris is a veteran of both the US Army and US Navy and currently works for the Department of Defense in Virginia Beach VA. His guiding Bible verse, Proverbs 5:15-18 "Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let they fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Let them be only then own, and not strangers' with thee. Let thy fountain be blessed; and rejoice with the wife of thy youth."
Steve Sobel was and raised in northern California with his mom and sister in a Christian home and attended a Baptist Church where he received Christ. At 15 they moved even further north where he met his future wife at a Bible Church. After a tour in the army, they got married, continuing to serve in the church where they met. He played drums for the worship and sang. He was also involved in the youth ministry and building projects. The Sobel family moved to Virginia in 2009 and found Grace Community in 2015 and have enjoyed serving in many ways. Steve is involved in the music ministry; singing, playing drums, and leading worship on occasion. He also enjoys working on the maintenance of the church building. In 2016 Steve and Lisa began serving the youth group by organizing activities during youth events and have been able to begin a youth praise team encouraging teens to serve using their gifts to the glory of God. Serving in the youth ministry has been a very encouraging experience and has allowed him to learn more humility and grow spiritually. He also enjoys woodworking in his Shop, spending time with Lisa and their daughters. Steve is currently attending a trade school, hoping to complete an Associates Program in HVAC/R where he plans to use this to serve the Church and Church family. His guiding Bible verses are: Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me." and 2 Timothy 3:16,17 "All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work."
