Chris Everidge became a Christian as a youth in South Georgia at the knees of his Grandmother, a wonderful praying woman. After an up and down young spiritual life, Chris joined Agape Christian Fellowship in February of 1995 when he was invited by his friend George Del Moral. That was the beginning of a fine education in God's Word and His amazing precepts. Chris' duties primarily surround theological training and Biblical education of youth from age eight to eighteen, focusing on the five "Solas" and Biblical principles of the Protestant reformation: Sola fide. Sola Gratia. Sola Scriptura. Sola Christos. Sola Deo Gloria, Total depravity, Unconditional election, Limited atonement, Irresistible grace and perseverance of the saints. Man is accountable for: Thoughts, attitudes, motives, words & deeds. Chris is married to the former Miss Christi Lynn Garrity of Denver, Colorado. They have six children: Alec, Christopher, Jonathan, Benjamin, Georgia & Thomas. Chris is a veteran of both the US Army and US Navy and currently works for the Department of Defense in Virginia Beach VA. His guiding Bible verse, Proverbs 5:15-18 "Drink waters out of thine own cistern, and running waters out of thine own well. Let they fountains be dispersed abroad, and rivers of waters in the streets. Let them be only then own, and not strangers' with thee. Let thy fountain be blessed; and rejoice with the wife of thy youth."
Doug "Tad" Hoven is a servant of the LORD, born in the ‘free state of Jones’, Laurel, Mississippi. He has moved over twenty times, but settled in Chesapeake in 2006. Doug has an older sister and two younger brothers. The Lord regenerated his heart and gave him the gift of faith when he was thirteen years old (1999). He joined the Navy in the winter of 2004 and a year later married Julie Hoven. Doug and Julie have two daughters Alexis and Summer and a son also named Douglas. After eight years of service on submarines he left the Navy as a sailor and now works at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a civilian performing testing on submarines. Doug currently serves the Lord by teaching the High School youth members. In addition to this he leads a home fellowship and presently holds the office of Deacon. He loves seeing others grow in their walk with our Lord and being sanctified by our Heavenly Father. One of his guiding verses for his walk and what he desires for his brothers and sisters is 2 Peter 3:17- 18 - . . . be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of unprincipled men and fall from your own steadfastness, but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
